American contemporary painter, SHARI ERICKSON, graduated with honors from the Ringling College of Art. She quickly gained recognition as a figurative muralist in Atlanta and Palm Beach. Accomplished in many mediums, she also became a successful potter and jewelry designer.
Erickson's sensibility of figure and form is at the heart of her talent which inevitably led to painting animal companions in her alkyd-oil, A La Prima style. Shari and her artist husband, D. K. Gifford, work from their studios on a mountain in Cashiers, NC, with their pets and an extensive rose garden.
